Damavand and Tehran Ski Adventure: From the Peak to the Heart of Iran
The Mount Damavand is solitude and conical shape, Mount Damavand elevation is 5609.20 (five thousand six hundred nine meter and 20 centimeter) from the sea surface and it is 473 meter higher than Mount Ararat in the Turkey and 32 meter is shorter than Mount Elbrus in Russia of course, Mount Damavand elevation was registered 5671 meter in the past but the researcher team from the Iran mapping organization registered the above elevation certainly for Mount Damavand during 10 days attempt in 2007, Mount Damavand also is the highest mount in middle east and is the highest volcanic mountain in Asia, which is still semi-active.
DIFFICULTY:
Level 4: Strenuous
Damavand receives heavy snowfalls in winter because of its vicinity to the Caspian Sea. The south route is not technical and is an ideal route for ski and snowboard. Skiing on other sides is more difficult.
The 10-day ski tour in Iran with ideal altitude acclimatization on the Doberar ridge in the Alborz Mountains with 3 to 4 ski tours up to 4200 meters. The white volcanic cone Damavand (5619 m) is the main goal of our trip.

1. Day: Arrival in Tehran (IKA International Airport)
Upon arrival at Tehran’s Imam Khomeini International Airport, you’ll be greeted and transferred to your hotel. After check-in, take the rest of the day to relax and recover from your journey.

2. Day: Journey to Polur/Reyneh via Haraz Road and Optional Village Trekking
Begin your adventure with a scenic drive along the Haraz road, surrounded by stunning mountain landscapes. Arrive at Polur or Reyneh village, where you can choose to take a leisurely trek around the charming village to warm up for the days ahead.

3. Day: Acclimatization at Changizchal Summit (4,050 m)
After breakfast, drive to Lasem, a picturesque village, and ascend to Changizchal’s summit at 4,050 meters for acclimatization. Enjoy the breathtaking views from the top before skiing down the slopes and returning to Polur/Reyneh for the night.

4. Day: Acclimatization at Doberar Summit (4,100 m)
Another acclimatization day takes you back to Lasem to climb Doberar’s summit, standing at 4,100 meters. After reaching the peak and savoring the achievement, ski down and return to Polur/Reyneh for some well-deserved rest.

5. Day: Exploring Local Summits and Skiing Adventure
Today, you’ll ascend Gol-e Zard or one of the many other optional summits in the area, depending on weather and conditions. This day is perfect for honing your skills and enjoying the pristine beauty of the mountain environment. Ski down and relax back in Polur/Reyneh.

6. Day: Ascent to Bargah Sevom Shelter (4,250 m)
Drive to GoosfandSara, the South Damavand Base Camp, and begin your ascent to the Bargah Sevom Shelter, located at 4,250 meters. Here, you’ll prepare for the ultimate climb while soaking in the serenity of the high-altitude environment.

7. Day: Summit Day – Mount Damavand (5,671 m)
The highlight of your journey awaits as you ascend Mount Damavand’s summit, the tallest volcano in Asia at 5,671 meters. After soaking in the panoramic views from the peak, ski down to Bargah Sevom and then continue to the base camp. Return to Polur/Reyneh for a celebratory evening.

8. Day: Return to Tehran and Leisure Time
After an intense week in the mountains, drive back to Tehran and enjoy a day of leisure. Explore the city at your own pace, unwind, or simply rest in your hotel to recharge for the cultural adventure awaiting you.

9. Day: Tehran City Tour – History, Art, and Commerce
Delve into Tehran’s rich heritage with a full-day city tour:
